In celebration of Malaysia’s Independence Month, HABIB is bringing back it’s Merdeka Campaign from 1st to 31st August 2026, featuring exclusive jewellery collections and 999.9 gold wafers inspired by the country’s rich cultural heritage.

Available at HABIB showrooms nationwide, this year’s campaign highlights the beauty of Malaysia’s traditions, arts and cultural identity through a special collection called MY Corak.

The name combines “MY”, the abbreviation for Malaysia, with the word “my”, representing a personal connection and sense of belonging. Together, MY Corak celebrates Malaysian identity and individual pride.

The collection is inspired from batik designs across Northern, Central, Southern, East Coast and East Malaysia, creating a modern interpretation of the country’s cultural diversity while honouring traditional craftsmanship.

Gold Wafers Inspired by Every Region

The MY Corak Gold Water collection has unique designs representing different states across Malaysia. The East Coast highlights Terengganu’s Leatherback Turtle, Starfish, and traditional Gasing, Pahang’s famous Musang King durian, and Kelantan’s Rebana Ubi and Banyan Tree, associated with Wayang Kulit performances.

For the Central Region, the designs features Malaysia’s national flower, the Hibiscus, the Malayan Tiger, the traditional Wau kite, the Petronas Twin Towers, and the dome of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building.

The Southern Region celebrates Negeri Sembilan’s Minangkabau house, Malacca’s Bunga Kesidang, Peranakan Bakul Sia and the legendary Sang Kancil while Johor is represented through the pineapple, Kompang and Kuda Kepang dance.

Meanwhile, Sabah and Sarawak are represented by Mount Kinabalu, the Rafflesia, the Rhinoceros Hornbill, as well as traditional motifs including Pinunguh Langsat from the Murut  community and Paku Pakis, which is associated with the Dayak Iban community.

Through this year’s Merdeka Campaign, Habib celebrates the traditions, stories, and cultural diversity that make Malaysia unique while encouraging Malaysians to embrace and take pride in the nation’s rich heritage.
