A team of Year 5 students form SJKT Bentong made their school proud after securing 6th place at the Pahang State Level Science Fair for Young Children at SJKT Karak.
Representing the school at the state-level competition, the students presented a science project called “Comparison of Water Filtration Speed (Flow Rate) Through Various Natural Plant Fibres.”

The project explored how different natural plant fibres affect the speed of water filtration, showcasing the student’s creativity, scientific thinking and problem-solving skills.
Their hard work, dedication and strong teamwork earned them a impressive 6th place among participants from across the state. The school congratulated the theme for their achievement, describing it as the result of their curiosity, commitment, and determination throughout the competition

SJKT Bentong also expressed that they hope this accomplishment will inspire the students to continue exploring science, developing new ideas and striving for greater success in the future. The achievement shows the school’s continuous efforts to encourage innovation, critical thinking and hands-on learning among it’s students.
