Vishal is gearing up for the release of Magudam, which also marks his directorial debut. With the film set to arrive in cinemas on 14th August 2026, Vishal shared his excitement about the climax, especially the final 8 minutes.
Speaking at the film’s trailer launch, Vishal said the team had work hard to create something special for the closing scenes. He also credited lyricist Uma Devi and choreographer Dileep for their contributions to the film.
Vishal said he is looking forward to watching the climax with fans at Rohini Theatre, the same cinema where he had previously celebrated his favorite actor Vijay’s films. He is excited to see how audiences react to the final 8 minutes.
A Massive Climax in the Works
The climax has already gained attention after Vishal shared a behind the scenes video from the shoot. Around 100 stunt performers and 800 crew members were reportedly involved in filming the intense sequences in Chennai.

The trailer also shows Vishal in 3 different avatars, each with different personality. One is an ordinary medical representative, while another works at a shipping harbour in Visakhapatnam. The third is Linga, a dangerous character that brings out shades of Vishal’s role in Mark Antony released in 2023.
Vishal took over as director of Magudam last year following creative differences with Ravi Arasu, who was initially set to direct the film. Ravi Arasu is now credited with the film’s story.
The film stars Anjali and Dushara Vijayan as female leads with Jayaprakash, John Vijay, Ajay, Vamsi Krishna, Abu Salim, Arjai, VJ Jhansi, Padam Kumar, and Sabumon is supporting roles. Pon Parthiban has worked on the dialogues with Anandh Kumaresan handling the Tamil dialogues and Rajesh A.Moorthy is working on the Telugu version. NB Srikanth is the editor while G.Durairaj is the art director.
Backed by late director-producer R.B. Choudary’s Super Good Films, Magudam will release on 14th August 2026.
