In a significant proud moment, two students from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil (SJKT) Changkat have brought pride to their school after securing gold and silver medals at the Kejohanan Taekwondo Antara Sekolah-Sekolah Negeri Perak 2026.
The championship, held on July 26, 2026 at AEON Kinta City, Ipoh brought together young taekwondo athletes from schools across Perak to compete and showcase their skills and discipline in the martial art.

Representing SJKT Changkat, V. Sai Varunavi Nair delivered a strong performance to claim the gold medal, while fellow pupil S. Laxshana secured the silver medal.
The achievement was celebrated by SJKT Changkat, which congratulated both students for their outstanding performances and dedication to the sport. The school’s recognition of their success also highlights the importance of supporting students in developing their talents beyond the classroom.
The Perak inter-school Taekwondo championship is part of a wider competitive platform for young athletes in the state.
