A young Indian entrepreneur from Penang is inspiring the community with his business achievements after earning a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records as the country’s youngest clothing brand owner.
Kaviiamuthan Ragu Raman, 21, from Taman Bagan Baru, Butterworth, received this recognition on June 19, 2026, for establishing and operating his unisex apparel brand, Kozzy Aesthetics. He launched the brand at the age of 17, shortly after completing his SPM.
What makes Kaviiamuthan’s journey particularly meaningful is that his business is not just about fashion; it also reflects his desire to encourage young people to adopt healthier lifestyles, fitness, and self-discipline. Inspired by the fitness industry, he aims to create a platform that motivates youths to focus on personal growth and make positive choices.
From handling designs and sourcing materials to managing production, digital content and finances, Kaviiamuthan took on various responsibilities as he developed the brand. By the age of 19, he had formally registered the business with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), while the brand continued to grow through pop-up events and online platform.
Kozzy Aesthetics now offers affordable unisex fitness and lifestyle apparel, with some of its recent sales coming through live shopping and pop-up events. At one recent pop-up, the brand exceeded expectations by selling more than 200 shirts, despite initially expecting to sell around 50.
Beyond his business, Kaviiamuthan continues to pursue personal development. He holds a Diploma in IT, works in gym management as a personal trainer and is preparing to pursue a part-time degree at Wawasan Open University.
His achievement also reflects the importance of community and family support in nurturing young talent. Kaviiamuthan credited his parents, siblings, friends and Bagan Dalam assemblyman Kumaran Krishnan for supporting him throughout his entrepreneurial journey.
Looking ahead, he hopes to expand Kozzy Aesthetics into a wider franchise and retail network. His journey serves as an encouraging example for Malaysian youths, showing how passion, discipline, family support and determination can turn an early idea into a meaningful achievement.
