A free cancer and health screening programme was held at Sri Krishna Brickfields Temple on 15 August 2026, drawing many members of the public who took the opportunity to undergo basic health checks at no cost.
The programme provided a range of screenings, including free blood tests, urine tests and other health assessments, giving members of the community an opportunity to keep track of their health and identify potential concerns early.
Himalaya Wellness Malaysia also joined the programme as one of the organisers and supported the initiative by providing wellness products to members of the public. The involvement added to the programme’s focus on encouraging healthier lifestyles and greater awareness of personal wellbeing.
Beyond providing free medical checks, the screening programme also highlighted the community’s growing concern about health and the importance of early detection. By bringing health screening closer to the public, the initiative helped raise awareness about cancer risks and encouraged individuals to take a more proactive approach towards their health.
The strong public participation reflected the importance of accessible health programmes within the community, while also reinforcing the message that regular screening and early awareness can play an important role in maintaining better health.
