Police have recorded statements from 92 witnesses as investigations continue into the death of 14-year-old G. Keziah Nisha, whose case has drawn public attention following allegations of bullying and racially charged verbal abuse.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the statements were recorded as part of further investigations following a second police report lodged by Keziah’s mother on August 19, 2026. The case is now being investigated under Section 507B of the Penal Code, which covers offences involving harassment, threats, insults and bullying, including online communication.

According to police, an initial sudden-death report was opened before Keziah’s mother lodged a second report the following day. The Wangsa Maju District Police Headquarters Criminal Investigation Division subsequently began further investigations into the matter.
The recording of 92 witness statements marks a significant development as investigators work to establish the circumstances surrounding Keziah’s death and assess the allegations that have emerged following the tragedy.
Bullying Allegations Remain Under Investigation
The case has received widespread attention after allegations surfaced that Keziah had experienced bullying, including verbal abuse and remarks with racial elements.
Her mother, Kasturi, has previously said she believed her daughter had been bullied based on their conversations and that Keziah had been dealing with pressure linked to the alleged bullying. She has called for justice and answers over what happened to her daughter.
However, police have cautioned the public against speculation while investigations are ongoing. The allegations have yet to be conclusively established, and the investigation will determine whether any offences were committed.
Education Ministry Also Conducting Internal Investigation
Separately, Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has ordered an internal investigation into Keziah’s death, which has been linked to allegations of verbal bullying, including racially charged remarks. The ministry has also been cooperating with the relevant authorities as investigations continue.
The latest police development comes amid growing calls for greater accountability and stronger measures to address bullying in schools. Several parties have urged authorities to investigate not only the allegations themselves, but also whether appropriate action was taken if concerns about Keziah’s wellbeing had previously been raised.
As the investigation continues, the recording of 92 witness statements is expected to help authorities piece together the events leading up to Keziah’s death and determine whether further action is warranted.
