Italian luxury house Bvlgari has expanded their presence in India with the opening of it’s first boutique in Kolkata, located at Quest Mall.
Spanning 115 square metres on the Ground Floor of the mall, the new boutique brings together Bvlgari’s jewellery, watches, accessories, and luxury leather goods under one roof.
The opening also makes Kolkata Bvlgari’s fourth destination in India, following it’s presence in Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.

Where Rome Meets Kolkata
Rather than simply opening another luxury storey, Bvlgari designed the space to bring a piece of it’s Roman identity to a city known for art, culture and craftsmanship.
Inspired by Bvlgari’s historic flagship on Via Condotti in Rome, the boutique features several details connected to Roman architecture. Travertine portals frame the entrance, while the Maison’s signature imperial green and Bvlgari logo in Roman capitals welcome visitors into the space.
Inside, Travertino and onyx marble counters, inspired by Italian architect Carlo Scarpa are paired with fluted walls that give a modern take on ancient Roman columns.

One of the main highlights is a Serpenti chandelier by Venini, handcrafted in Murano glass using around 300 crystal wands. Curved showcases have also been designed to reflect the warm colours of Roman sunset.
The boutique even features artwork by Andy Warhol, highlighting the artist’s connection with Bvlgari and his view of it’s jewellery as a form of contemporary art.
A Special Tribute to Kolkata
Bvlgari has also created a special installation connecting Rome and Kolkata. The handcrafted artwork features maps of both cities joined by Bvlgari’s famous Serpenti form, representing the connection between their histories and cultures.
On the Kolkata side sits the Victoria Memorial, one of the city’s best-known landmarks. The installation was hand-painted and decorated with three-dimensional details and gold lead by Milan-based artisans Pictalab.

Speaking about the opening, Stephane Larher, Managing Director of Bvlgari Middle East, Africa and India, said Kolkata’s strong artistic and cultural heritage and appreciation for craftsmanship made the city an important addition to the brand’s presence in India.
He added that India remains an important market for Bvlgari, with the new boutique allowing the Maison to welcome clients from Kolkata and across Eastern India.
Bvlgari’s Iconic Collections Under One Roof
The Kolkata boutique will offer Bvlgari’s full experience across jewellery, watches, accessories and luxury leather goods.
It’s iconic Serpenti and Octo collections will be among the main highlights alongside B.zero1, Divas’ Dream, Bvlgari Bvlgari and Bvlgari Tubogas.

The store will also carry creations made exclusively for India, including the B.zero1 Kada Bracelet and Bvlgari Mangalsutra.
For high jewellery clients, Bvlgari will offer private appointments and it’s carnet programme, allowing selected creations to be brought directly to Kolkata.
