One of India’s longest-running music reality shows, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, is back with a new season, and this time, it is going bigger than ever.
Zee TV has introduced Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 with the theme “Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan”, creating an entire world around Indian music, its artists and its many traditions.
The new season premiered on 19th September 2026 and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30PM IST on Zee TV and Zee 5 Global.
Nearly 3 decades since the show began its journey, the latest season stays focused on discovering and supporting authentic voices while bringing a much larger experience to television.
100+ Musicians and a 360° Stage
One of the biggest changes this season is its scale. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa now features a 360-degree stage, described as a first for an Indian music reality show.
More than 100 musicians, along with a large chorus ensemble, will accompany the performances, giving viewers an experience closer to a live concert.
The season will also celebrate musical traditions from different parts of India, bringing different sounds and styles to the stage while keeping Indian music at the heart of the competition.
Ahead of the season, the media were also given a first look at the new set through a Virtual Reality Experience, showcasing the scale of the new “Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan” concept.
Four Musical Gurus Take the Lead
Guiding the contestants this season are Shankar Mahadevan, Kumar Sanu, Neeti Mohan and Javed Ali.
Rather than simply judging each performance, the four of them will use their years of experience to guide the contestants, share their knowledge and help them grow throughout the competition. Shreyas Talpade will host the new season, joining the four singers as another familiar face on the show.
Speaking about the return, Raghavendra Hunsur, Chief Content Officer at ZEE1, said the aim was to go beyond creating another singing reality show and instead build a complete world dedicated to music.
He explained that the new season brings together a new generation of contestants, experienced musical Gurus and a large orchestra while celebrating the richness and diversity of Indian music.
Mangesh Kulkarni, Chief Channel Officer at Zee TV, also highlighted the show’s long-standing focus on real voices and musical talent. He said the new season builds on that legacy with a bigger stage, more than 100 musicians and a panel with decades of experience.
Talking Sa Re Ga Ma Pa to Global Audiences
The new season will also reach viewers outside India through Zee 5 Global.
Harish Goyal, Territory Head-Americas, said the show has built a strong connection with generations of South Asian viewers and that its return will be especially meaningful for audiences in the USA and Canada. Viewers across North America will be able to follow the show through both television and streaming.
Meanwhile, Siju Prabhakaran, Chief Business Officer at ZEE 5 Global, said the new season will bring the music, talent, and stories of India to audiences across its global markets.
With its 360-degree stage, huge group of musicians and four musical Gurus, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 brings the familiar singing competition into a new era while keeping its focus on the music and voices that have shaped its three-decade legacy.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30PM IST on Zee TV and Zee 5 Global
