The makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War have released the first look poster of Ranbir Kapoor from the romantic drama, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
The poster presents Kapoor exuding a vintage, retro-cool aesthetic behind the wheel of a bright teal vintage convertible, wearing a short-sleeved knit polo, aviators, and sporting a slicked-back pompadour.
A striking, gritty detail sharply contradicts the stylish setup—his blood-soaked left arm resting over the car door, bearing a visible bullet hole, subtly teasing the high-stakes conflict at the heart of the romantic saga, which is among the most anticipated Hindi films. Love & War is set to release worldwide on January 21, 2027, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Mounted on a large scale, Love & War is a period romance reportedly centred on a love triangle. Bhansali, known for his epic dramas including the triangular romance Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), returns to the genre with what is described as his most ambitious project to date.
The film serves as Kaushal’s inaugural collaboration with Bhansali, while both Kapoor and Bhatt have previously worked with the celebrated auteur. Kapoor made his debut in Bhansali’s Saawariya (2007), and Bhatt won acclaim for her iconic role in Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022).
Before Love & War, Kapoor will also be seen in Ramayana. The epic, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, is gearing up for a global release in November during Deepavali. The film stars Kapoor as Lord Ram and features Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.
