A marriage may look perfect from the outside, but what happens when the things left unsaid begin to surface?
Astro’s latest family drama, Mounam Pesiyadhe, explores this question through a story centred on marriage, trust, infidelity and the secrets that can slowly change a relationship.
Directed by acclaimed local filmmaker Tinesh Sarathi Krishnan and produced by Datin Sri Shaila V, the series follows married couple Dr. Arjun and Mira, whose picture-perfect life is not quite what it seems.
When Secrets Begin to Surface
Arjun is a respected surgeon, while Mira is an aspiring writer. Together, they appear to have built a life many would admire. Behind closed doors, however, their marriage carries secrets and tendons that have remained unspoken for a long time.
As these hidden truths begin to come out, the strain between them grows.
What begins as problems within their marriage soon develops into a deeper struggle involving trust, control and survival. Betrayal, obsession, and manipulation begin to blur the line between love and loyalty, with each new revelation bringing more serious consequences.
At the centre of the story is one difficult question: will Arjun and Mira continue fighting for their marriage, or will they eventually realise that happiness may lie apart?

Mounam Pesiyadhe brings together several popular local talents, including James Devan Arokisamy, Krithigah Kayal, Yuvana, Dharshamini Kesavan and Karthik Jay, among others.
Through the series, Astro aims to open conversations around the difficult realities that can exist within relationships, while presenting them through a family drama filled with emotion, tension, and unexpected revelations.
