Another weekend means another fresh line-up of South Indian films to add to your watchlist. This week brings a mix of Tamil and Telugu releases across OTT platforms and cinemas, with something for almost every mood.
From Habeebi, which takes viewers back to the 1980s, to the supernatural worlds of Agadha, and the sporting fight at the heart of Angikaaram, here are the films you can catch this week.

1) Habeebi (Tamil)
Set in a handloom weaving community near Tirunelveli during the 1980s Habeebi follows Abuthahir, a young man who falls in love with his cousin. Their relationship faces challenges from their families and the community around them.
With letters, audio cassettes, and the fading tradition of handloom weaving forming part of its setting, the film brings a nostalgic touch to its slow-moving love story.

2) Agadha (Telugu)
If you are looking for something darker, Agadha follows Mahadevi, a spiritual gifted exorcist. After the mysterious death of her cousin, Mahadevi comes back to her ancestral home in search of answers. Her investigation soon leads her towards a forbidden forest cave, a mysterious twelve-handed idol and a secretive cult.

3) Photographer (Tamil)
Photographer follows Veera, an ambitious young man with OCD who enters the dangerous Mathikettan Solai reserve forest hoping to photograph a rare natural phenomenon. Things go wrong when he becomes lost and begins experiencing hallucinations. Veera comes across illegal cultivators inside the forest, leading to a tense rescue mission headed by a Forest Ranger.

4) Angikaaram (Tamil)
At the centre of Angikaaram is Aathiran Banumathi, a 200-metre sprinter who rises from a Chennai slum and earns a place at the Commonwealth Games.
Just when his sporting dreams appear to be coming true, his name suddenly disappears from the roster. Instead of walking away, he decides to challenge the system and fight to win back his place.

5) Ramba Oorvasi Menaka (Telugu)
For something lighter, Ramba Oorvasi Menaka brings fantasy and comedy together. The story follows Suri, a carefree aspiring actor who runs a local drama troupe while depending on his hardworking mother. His uncle tells him about an ancient magical book capable of summoning the celestial nymphs Rambha, Urvashi, and Menaka.
