The much-anticipated Tamil film Irandu Vaanam, starring Vishnu Vishal and Mamitha Baiju, has been postponed from its previously announced October 23 release date. The production house, Sathya Jyothi Films, confirmed the development in an official statement on Saturday, October 10, leaving fans waiting for a new theatrical release date.
The makers explained that the decision was made to reach a wider audience and provide the best possible theatrical experience. Although a new release date has yet to be confirmed, the production house assured audiences that an announcement would be made soon.
Makers Aim For A Better Theatrical Release
Addressing the postponement, Sathya Jyothi Films stated that Irandu Vaanam holds a special place in their hearts and expressed confidence in the film and the cinematic experience it promises to deliver.
The production house also thanked distributors, business partners and fans for their continued support throughout the film’s journey. However, the makers have not disclosed the specific reason behind the delay.
Third Collaboration Between Vishnu Vishal And Director Ram Kumar
Directed by Ram Kumar, Irandu Vaanam marks his third collaboration with Vishnu Vishal, following their earlier films Mundasupatti (2014) and Ratsasan (2018). Their previous collaborations have generated considerable interest among audiences, particularly following the success of the crime thriller Ratsasan.
The film features Mamitha Baiju as the female lead alongside Vishnu Vishal. Described as a romantic fantasy, the story is expected to explore an intense love between two individuals, with a promotional video hinting at a major tragedy that challenges their relationship.
The film is produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under Sathya Jyothi Films, with TG Thyagarajan presenting the project.
With its release now postponed, audiences will have to wait for the makers to announce a new date for Irandu Vaanam. Until then, anticipation continues to build around the reunion of Vishnu Vishal and Ram Kumar, alongside Mamitha Baiju’s appearance in the romantic fantasy.
