Nagarjuna Akkineni’s 100th film is set to have an exciting villain: Actor Ashok Selvan. The film has been officially titled King100, and it will feature Ashok Selvan (known for titles like Pizza II: Villa, Thegidi, Thug Life, and Anbil Avan) who will be seen as the main antagonist in the actioner, to be released in theatres worldwide on December 24, 2026.
King 100 is written and directed by R.A. Karthik and produced by Annapurna Studios, the production house founded by Nagarjuna’s father, the late actor-producer Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
The film’s music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with cinematography by Raja Mahadhevan, and editing by Navin Nooli.
The film also stars Tabu, who last shared screen space with Nagarjuna in the 1998 film Aavida Maa Aavide. The duo is known for their 1996 blockbuster Ninne Pelladata.
The makers announced the release date of the film on Nagarjuna’s birthday in August with a special video that opened with his character delivering a monologue about identity, power and money. The glimpse concludes on a clip of Nagarjuna against the landscape of a burning city, holding an infant in his arms.
The December 24 slot places King100 in the Christmas window, along with Shah Rukh Khan’s King, and it is also going to be a packed month for the movies as several Hollywood biggies line up to release, including Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three.
