Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Pavilion Bukit Jalil and Intermark Mall bring the Festival of Lights to life with Indian heritage, festive performances, creative workshops and shopping rewards across the Klang Valley.
As Deepavali approaches, three shopping destinations under Pavilion Real Estate Investment Trust (Pavilion REIT) are welcoming the Festival of Lights with celebrations that highlight the richness of Indian culture, traditional artistry and the joy of togetherness.
Running from October to November 2026, the festivities at three malls offer visitors different ways to experience the season, from admiring elaborate festive decorations and traditional kolam to enjoying cultural performances, participating in creative workshops and exploring festive shopping promotions.
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur: Experience the Grandeur of Royal India
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur presents ‘Journey of Radiance’, running from October 22 to November 9, 2026, with decorations and experiences inspired by the grandeur of royal India.
The campaign transforms the mall into a festive setting filled with palace-inspired architecture, traditional motifs and vibrant floral displays. At the Main Entrance of the mall, visitors are welcomed by a Ceremonial Walk featuring royal parasols, ornate elephants, peacocks and marigold decorations symbolising wisdom, prosperity and auspicious new beginnings.
At Promo B, colourful ‘haveli façades’and ‘jharokha’ windows inspired by Rajasthan’s palaces frame a Rangoli Walkway, while the Spanish Steps feature cascading marigolds and hanging lanterns inspired by traditional diyas.
Visitors can also experience traditional henna artistry at the Henna Art Station and explore festive booths featuring regional sarees, handcrafted accessories, home décor and other Indian crafts.
The campaign was officially launched on October 22 by India’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, His Excellency Somnath Ghosh, alongside representatives from Pavilion REIT, Maybank and the Malaysian Official Designers’ Association (MODA).
The launch featured Akhand Bharat, a special performance presented by the High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur. Combining Bharatanatyam from South India and Kathak from North India with sacred-lamp-inspired lighting, the performance celebrated the harmony of India’s diverse cultural traditions.
Saree Fashion Takes Centre Stage
Indian heritage also meets contemporary creativity through Fashion in Motion: Reimagined Saree Runway, presented by Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and MODA.
Featuring 30 MODA designers, the showcase reinterpreted the traditional saree through rich silks, intricate embroidery, creative draping and contemporary silhouettes, demonstrating how traditional attire continues to inspire modern fashion.

Led by Peacock Dancer, the runway formed part of Fashion in Motion, a month-lomg festival exploring the relationship between heritage and modern design.
Beyond fashion, the campaign also carries a charitable initiative through the Carry Pink, Carry Purpose umbrella. Priced at RM68, the limited-edition umbrella is sponsored by Maria Nila, with 100% of proceeds going to Pink Unity.
It is available until October 31, while stocks last, at the Main Concierge on Level 3 of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, as well as at Pavilion Bukit Jalil and Pavilion Damansara Heights.
Cultural Dance Performances to Continue in November
Visitors can look forward to cultural dance performances presented by NutriHeart on November 1, 7 and 9 at 3 pm.
The performances will travel from the Spanish Steps through Centre Court before culminating at the Main Entrance, bringing India’s diverse dance traditions to different parts of the mall.
The showcase will feature five dance forms: Kathak, known for its expressive storytelling and intricate footwork; Odissi, recognised for its fluid movements and sculptural poses; Kathakali, Kerala’s dramatic dance theatre; Peacock Dance, inspired by the bird’s graceful movements; and the Rajasthani Pot Dance, featuring performers balancing decorated pots to traditional music.

Pavilion Bukit Jalil: Celebrating Blessings, Creativity and Togetherness
At Pavilion Bukit Jalil, ‘Joyful Lights – Together, Here’ runs from October 22 to November 9, 2026, celebrating Deepavali through meaningful installations, cultural performances and family-friendly experiences.
One of the campaign’s main attractions is The Saree of 1,080 Blessings, created by UCSI Group students and displayed at the Foyer Entrance on Level 3.
Inspired by the significance of the number 108 in Hindu tradition, which represents the wholeness of existence, the installation brings together 1,080 blessings in a single flowing saree. The artwork reflects the collective hopes, blessings and shared joy associated with the festive season.
The mall also features two illuminated elephant displays at the Spanish Steps. In Indian culture, elephants are associated with wisdom, strength and good fortune, complementing the campaign’s message of light, hope and positivity.
Traditional artistry takes centre stage through colourful kolam creations by City University Malaysia students at the Bukit Jalil Entrance on Level 2 and the PIAZZA Entrance on Level 3. Traditionally created during Deepavali, kolam designs are associated with prosperity and good fortune, while bringing artistic expression and cultural heritage into the mall.
Indian Dance Performances and a Hands-On Diya Workshop
The festive celebrations continue with Indian semi-classical and fusion dance performances at the Foyer Entrance on Level 3.
The performances are scheduled for October 31, November 1, 7 and 8, with two sessions daily at 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm. Visitors can enjoy a blend of traditional rhythms and contemporary dance expressions throughout the campaign.
For those who would like to take part in a festive activity, Pavilion Privileges members are invited to join the **Diya Paint & Glow Workshop**, where participants can personalise their own diya, a traditional oil lamp symbolising the triumph of light over darkness, and bring home a keepsake for their Deepavali celebrations.
