The star power of Prabhas and the grand production values has paid off for team Saaho with an incredible global box office. Touching new landmarks with back-to-back records, here comes yet another feat of accomplishment as the film has grossed over Rs 400 Cr at the global box office in its 10-day run.
Released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam on August 30, 2019, the film had a tremendous opening followed by a steady run, garnering huge profits for producers, distributors and exhibitors. The makers had released the film through their own distribution company is 80% of the territories.
Helmed by Sujeeth, the Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor-starrer was produced by Vamsi and Pramod at a whopping budget of Rs 350 C. The multi-lingual film had a tremendous pre-release business, which included big deals with digital and satellite rights in all the versions. With over Rs 130 crores made in the selling of music, satellite and digital rights, the film is said to have now recovered its mammoth budget despite getting mixed reviews from both audiences and critics.
The entire team of Saaho isn’t just happy about this unbelievably huge result alone, but is elated that such positive occurrences are creating new gateways for south Indian movies by turning more spotlights on them worldwide.
