It is official! Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in for a pivotal role in Vijay’s next, currently dubbed ‘Thalapathy 64‘. The film is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who made a splash with his debut film Maanagaram.
The thriller will feature Vijay in the role of a ruthless gangster and that Vijay Sethupathi will play the antagonist.

Vijay Sethupathi has nearly half a dozen projects currently including a Bollywood film from Aamir Khan. Meanwhile, the makers of ‘Thalapathy 64‘ are yet to reveal the complete cast.
It has been confirmed that the film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander. Sathyan Sooryan will crank the camera while Philomin Raj will take care of the editing.
Vijay currently awaits the release of Bigil with director Atlee. The film, which is gearing up for release this Deepavali, sees him playing the football coach of a women’s team. The film, which has been produced by AGS Entertainment, was officially launched last November in Chennai.
A massive football set was built on a budget of Rs 6 crore for the shooting. Meanwhile, Vijay underwent special physical training in preparation for this role, where 16 women will star as sports players alongside him.
