Jyothika will be working alongside her brother-in-law Karthi for an upcoming film, and word has it that the film will be titled Thambi. Master Ashwanth who had stolen the show in Super Deluxe in the character Raasukutty will be starring in the film as well. Govind Vasantha is said to be composing the music for the film.
Shot in Goa and Ooty, the film will feature Jyothika and Karthi as siblings. This is the first time the two are working together on screen. An official announcement from the makers is expected to be made soon.
The film is scripted by Jeethu Joseph along with Rensil D’Silva and Manikandan. Jointly bankrolled by Viacom 18 and in association with Suraj of Parallel Minds Productions, it is scheduled to hit the screens in December.
Sathyaraj and Anson Paul will be seen essaying important roles, along with Sowcar Janaki.
Meanwhile, Karthi is expected to complete shooting for his upcoming film titled Sultan with director Bakkiyaraj Kannan of Remo fame. The film has Rashmika who will be making her Tamil debut with this film. Tipped to be high on action and comedy, it is being bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures. More details regarding the film are yet to be revealed by the team.
