The much awaited jazz fusion concert, Shakti Live in Kuala Lumpur that was scheduled to take place on the 17th of January 2020 at KL Convention Centre, has been cancelled.

The organisers, Shiraz Projects, broke the news on social media. No prizes for guess the reason given – unforeseen circumstances.

Those who have bought their tickets through MyTicket.asia will be refunded between the 18th of January and 18th of February 2020.

Shiraz Projects did confirm that the concerts in Kolkata and Singapore will go on as scheduled.

Concert cancellations are relatively rare. Last year, one Tamil concert in Kuala Lumpur had to be postponed, while another was retimed, due to local regulations on religious festivals. At this point, the reason behind the cancellation of Shakti Live in Kuala Lumpur is unclear.
