Journalist turned singer Nehsan Selvaraj is creating quite the buzz on social media with his latest cover. While covers in other languages have become the norm for Malaysian singers, this lad has executed the Arabic tune Kun Anta to perfection.
In his Instagram post, Nehsan recalled the difficulties in learning the correct pronunciation of the Arabic words. The tune itself is pretty famous, one that most of us would have heard in the past. Kun Anta was originally sung by Kuwaiti singer Humood AlKhudher.
Last year, Nehsan was conferred an ‘Award of Honour’ by the Government of India at the Vision For Future 2019 held in New Delhi, India. The award was conferred by the BRICS International Forum & the International Federation of Indo-Russian Youth Club to Nehsan as an International Digital Leader for the socio-political efforts he has made.
More recently, earlier this month, Nehsan was invited as a speaker for special session in the 10th World Urban Forum. The 21 year old spoke about scalable youth-led social and entrepreneurial best practices and solutions to make our world more sustainable.
There is no denying that Nehsan Selvaraj is going places, and we cannot wait to see what he has in store for us in the future!
