Indrani Kopal to Moderate Short Film Screening, Women Make Waves

Women Make Waves, a film screening event featuring five short films by talented local filmmakers is taking place tomorrow. The screening, followed by a question and answer session will take place on Saturday, 29th February 2020 at GMBB Event Hall, Kuala Lumpur from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm. This event will be moderated by renowned Malaysian filmmaker Indrani Kopal. Entry is free.

The event features five female filmmakers, Sharifah Amani, Bebbra Mailin, Amanda Nell Eu, Nadiah Hamzah and Mien Ly.

Indrani has won multiple awards, including the award for best documentary at the 2014 Harlem International Film Festival and best student documentary at the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase 2015 in Cannes, France.

Her latest offering, Incarcerated Rhythm, premiered at the 13th Annual Harlem International Film Festival 2018 and won her the Mira Nair Award for Rising Female Filmmaker.
