The Indian Fashion Edge is back with its second installment this weekend! Head over to Agenda Suria Convention Centre, Subang Jaya on the 7th and 8th of March 2020 from 10.30 am to 9.00 pm to get to know your favourite online retailer and see their products in the flesh!

We speak to Vithya Shaline Jaggarao, the organiser of the Indian Fashion Edge, “This is our second event. The first one was held in September last year, and saw 41 vendors,” Vithya says that the pop up marketplace targets small startups who have a social media presence, “Our goal with Indian Fashion Edge is to provide a business opportunity to online retailers,”

There are a few special things about this installment of Indian Fashion Edge. There will be more than 50 vendors present to showcase their products at the venue. “We are excited about this, as our vendors come from all areas,” Vithya says.

In conjunction with International Women’s Day, the pop up marketplace will be hosting a panel on the 8th of March at 3.00pm. Titled The Power of Young Women Entrepreneurs, this panel will see Vithya herself moderating the discussion on how a young woman can excel as an entrepreneur in today’s world.

The panelists for this event include Visha Devan, the CEO and founder of Trihamsa, GK Kaveta, the founder of GK Fashion Library and GK Kitchen, Rohini Katrikassi, the founder of Muruku Madness and Udhaya Sharmini, the founder of Colors of India Rheyshaz.

“With this talk, we want to appreciate the effort of women in entrepreneurship, and hope to inspire the rest with tips and tricks on how to sustain a business,” Vithya says. “We also want to break the many taboos that surround Indian women and create an awareness that women don’t need to live a life of dependence,”
