Early this year, ace producer Allu Aravind and his son, actor Allu Arjun launched a digital streaming platform, Aha. The app currently streams films produced by Geetha Arts and is in the process of acquiring the rights of more upcoming films.
Now, Mahesh Babu has also decided to launch his own OTT platform, which will produce original content as well. Reportedly, the actor will be collaborating with a popular production house in Mumbai to implement the project and will also make sure that his streaming service attracts local audience.
Mahesh Babu has initiated talks with actor Avidi Sesh to play the lead in the first feature film produced under his OTT platform. However, an official announcement regarding this will be made once the lockdown ends.
It is worth mentioning that Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar recently ventured into the textile business. They are also producing films under their home banner, GMB Entertainments, and also own AMB Multiplex in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu might also team up with director Trivikram Srinivas, with whom he was not on talking terms for over a decade. The duo had earlier worked together in a film titled Khaleja.
Mahesh Babu is also doing a film with director Parasuram. An official announcement is expected soon.
