Gautham Menon’s web series Queen is going to get a season two. The series on MX Player is jointly directed by Gautham and writer Prasath Murugesan.
The series is said to be an unofficial look at the life and times of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa and how she overcame the speed breakers in her life.
The engaging story and presentation was well received and made the OTT platform a big boost. Reshma Ghatala had written the story of Queen inspired by the novel of the same name written by Anita Sivakumaran. The makers of the web series had stated that their show is a highly fictionalised story and not based on Jayalalithaa’s life.
Now all eyes are on season 2 of Queen as the Jayalalithaa life story based film Thalaivi with Kangana Raunat in the title role gets ready for release.
