The Malaysian government imposed Movement Control Order (MCO) has resulted in artists using innovative means to reach their audience. The recording company, Universal Music Malaysia has jumped on the bandwagon. Along with Def Jam Malaysia, they’ve come up with a hip hop track, #JANGANKELUAR.
Rabbit Mac makes an appearance in this song, alongside 16 other singers including Shila Amzah, Yonnyboii, Hafiz Hamidun, Shalma Eliana, Sophia Liana, Alvin Chong and Bella Astillah. Apart from them, Luca Sickta, Kmy Kmo, Tuju, KOWACHEE, ASYRFNSIR, Abubakarxli, Siqma, DOLLA and Malik Abdullah have also participated.
All the singers performed their bit at home, and the various parts were melded into a beautiful song. Each singer has was assigned a key to sing in, according to the parts they were given.
Rabbit, who is riding high on the release of his Yejemaa Instagram filters, said “We’re doing what we can to entertain you at home,” He went on to say that we Malaysians need to unite to flatten the curve by staying home.
Luca Sickta agrees. “This is a reminder for the public to comply with the rules in order to break the Covid-19 chain. The original song was produced by Jkei and written by Yonnyboii and the additional lyrics was done by me, Kmy Kmo and Tuju. The song was created with the hope that people will be more cautious and not to take the current situation lightly,” he said.
The #JANGANKELUAR song is now available on all digital platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, KKBox, Deezer, Joox and Apple Music. starting April 14, 2020.
#JANGANKELUAR Online Streaming Concert
Universal Music Malaysia is organizing an Online Streaming Concert with the artists in #JANGANKELUAR song at Universal Music Malaysia Youtube channel on Sunday, April 19, 2020 (Sunday). During the concert, members of the public will be invited to donate to the Covid-19 fund at the “Dana Peduli. Kemanusiaan. Prihatin (PKP) Dato ‘Sri Siti Nurhaliza”.
Siti Nurhaliza Productions (M) Sdn. Bhd. has taken the initiative to help our frontliners and the members of the public that are affected by the current situation by starting “Dana Peduli, Kemanusiaan, Prihatin (PKP) Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza” crowdfunding or in short “Dana P.K.P Siti Nurhaliza”.
