Actor-director Sasikumar took to the streets of Madurai to ensure that people are abiding by the lockdown rules.

He joined hands with Madurai Police Department and spent an entire day volunteering with them in a motive to curb the spread of the deadly disease. The actor was seen advising people on the streets to stay indoors and explained to them why it’s important to do so.

He also pointed out how doctors and police officials are working tirelessly, away from their families, in order to protect the lives of the commoners.

On the professional front, Sasikumar is in talks to play the lead in the Tamil remake of hit Malayalam film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The film was about an ego clash between a police officer named Ayyappan Nair, played by Biju Menon, and a retired havildar named Koshy Kurien, essayed by Prithviraj.

He has also completed shooting for a film titled MGR Magan, directed by Ponram. The film was supposed to release in April. However, it got postponed due to the crisis.
