Thrillhoodz Rydahz, a Malaysian Hip-hop group, created Aku Takut Rona, not just to pass the time, but to emphasise the importance of fighting the COVID-19 by wearing a mask, social distancing and staying at home.
Harivarmaa Perumal, better known as Hust, 31, and Muhammad Shafie Othman, also known as Young Caddy, 34, make up ThrillHoodz Rydahz. The two have been producing music together since 2015 with the aim to make relatable tunes and channel positivity.
“This song was inspired by all the ‘struggles’ of staying at home,” said the duo on social media. “The song is also a tribute to all our heroic front liners who are referred to in the song as our very own Marvel Avengers,”
