To mark Liverpool’s Premier League title win after a long 30-year wait, Gurmukh Singh and his family members have came up with a unique Indian classical rendition of the iconic Liverpool FC anthem, You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Gurmukh, a lawyer by profession, has been a Liverpool FC fan for over 40 years. He was over the moon when his favorite football team finally became Premier League champions.
His wife Inderjit Kaur, daughters Gursimer Kaur, 19, and Kavelnain Kaur, 21, and his son, Gurishver Singh, 15, who is a die-hard fan of Manchester United participated in this rendition of the iconic tune. The video has garnered 80,000 views, and 3,300 likes in just two days.

“We didn’t have to do much practice for the anthem. We just went through it for five minutes or so before recording it. We never expected it to get so much attention. All thanks to the vast Liverpool fan base for the support to the song,” Gurmukh added.
“I had been wanting to do this from a very long time but was never able to it. Doing it at the time when the club won the league is so special,” Gurmukh said.
Gurmukh’s family often sing kirtans (devotional songs) together at home.
“I’m into spirituality and religion. But, I must say, witnessing Liverpool emerge as Premier League champs again after so long was right up there as a kind of spiritual experience. It’s an indescribable feeling,” he said.
