There’s no denying that women and girls are socially conditioned from a very young age to value themselves not for their personality, character or achievements, rather to love themselves for their outwardly appearances, mostly for their physical attributes and beauty.
Nithya Menen brilliantly clapped back against weight, critics and reminded us why we should love our bodies. In her recent interview, she opened up about how she deals with body shaming issues and says “Nobody asks why you’re putting on weight.”
Those who criticise usually have never done as much as she has in life and fail to realise that someone’s weight might be different to another due to various factors and not just solely based on one’s lifestyle.
One is never criticised by someone who is “more” than them. Rather it is always by someone, who is “lesser” than them.
She also stated that she believes in not blowing up such personal problems or give interviews about them. It’s something she deals with personally and irrespective of it all, she has always given good content.
On the professional front, Nithya is gearing up for her digital debut with the web series title Breathe: Into The Shadows. Nithya was trying to look into new challenging roles and that’s when the psychological crime thriller web series landed on her lap. She plays the role of a mother, and the series chronicles the couple’s quest to reclaim their child.
Directed by Mayank Sharma and produced by Abundantia Entertainment, the series will also star Abhishek Bachchan and Amit Sadh in the lead roles. The series is said to have 12-episodes with a run time of 40-minutes for each episode. Breathe: Into The Shadows will premiere on Amazon Prime Video from July 10th onwards.
