Award-winning musician and composer Shabir Tabare Alam, who composed the euphonious song ‘Yaayum’ from Sagaa has dropped a new single titled, Thedichoru. Thedichoru was inspired by Mahakavi Bharathiyar, a revolutionary Tamil poet from the early 19th century who was instrumental in solidifying our thoughts and knowledge of the Tamil language.
Shabir, using Mahakavi’s work as an inspiration created a new dimension on the single, comprising contemporary elements to encourage people to stay positive during this time of uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Singaporean collaborated with The TENG Ensemble Production to produce the single which was later released on Think Music India YouTube channel.
We can always count on Mahakavi’s poem to cheer us up when we’re having a bad day. He has always been a ‘Dhruva Nakshatram’ in the arena of poetry, music, patriotism, and national integration. The famous poet is also well known for his musical works, remarkably turning his poetry into a musical piece.
To say that Mahakavi had a way with words in just about any situation is an understatement. Hence, this song by Shabir will sure give you a positive outlook, boost your spirits and be hopeful in such dark times.
