Listen up all you Deepika Padukone fans, the Bollywood starlet is set to star alongside Telugu heartthrob Prabhas in Prabhas 21, making her debut in Telugu cinema.
Described to be one of the most anticipated film in Indian cinema, Prabhas 21 will be set in the backdrop of an imaginary third world war scenario. The big-budget film is also expected to be the production company’s 50th anniversary special venture.
Prabhas 21 has been the talk of the town for a very long time. Previously, there were a lot of speculations over who will play the lead female role opposite Prabhas, uprising actresses such as Alia Bhatt and Keerthy Suresh were some of the names assumed for the role.
However, the role was given to Bollywood diva Deepika who took to her Instagram handle to confirm the news:

Veteran filmmaker Nag Ashwin, who recently directed Telugu film Mahanati, for which actor Keerthy Suresh received a National Award, will be seen helming the sci-fi drama. This is the first time the audience will see Prabhas and Deepika teaming together on-screen. It marks the third pan-Indian film for Prabhas after the super successful Baahubali and Saaho.

The film is expected to hit the floors in April next year and scheduled for the big screens by the end of 2021. The pre-production work on the film has yet to begin while matters pertaining to the film will only be finalised after the COVID-19 situation is under control in India.
