HABIB Celebrates Merdeka with Malaysian Beauty Queens – Miss Universe Malaysia Finalists 2020!

HABIB our very own homegrown jeweller is an establishment that prides to be in business since 1958. Being the oldest jewellers in Malaysia, HABIB is well known for their beautifully carved masterpieces, diamonds and unique pieces of jewelleries.

They are also the official crown maker and jeweller of Miss Universe Malaysia 2020.

Growing at a parallel pace together with the nation since its independence back in 1957, HABIB celebrates Merdeka with joy and reverence. The HABIB group encourages all Malaysians to support local businesses now more than at any time to drive the economy in its furtherance to nation building.

In conjunction with the independence month of Malaysia, HABIB hosted a special and historic celebration with the Malaysian Beauty Queens, Miss Universe Malaysia (2019) Shweta Sekhon and Miss Universe Malaysia (2020) Finalists.

The celebration this year was themed #SokongLokal in an aim to support local business entities and uplift local talents. 

Miss Universe Malaysia Organization has shown support to their official jewellery sponsor, HABIB as the 14 beauty finalists paraded with pride wearing their exotic jewelleries to promote and drive the #SokongLocal campaign to greater heights.

This year, marks the second year of the collaboration between HABIB and Miss Malaysia Universe Organization (MUMO). 

The crowning of the Miss Universe Malaysia 2020 will take place happen on 5th September 2020, via pay-per-view e-Gala streaming live on www.missuniversemalaysia.com.my. One of the 14th finalists will also be lucky to hold the title of Miss HABIB this year. The voting for the queen will be managed via HABIB’s social media platform.

As a notion to contribute to the Malaysian economy by supporting local entities and talents providing a platform for them to outcast their products and services, HABIB has also arranged some special programs within the campaign such as:-

#HabibStandsWithYou

#HabibStandWithYou is an initiative by the Habib Group to help small business owners. As a truly Malaysian company, Habib Academy, will do their part by imparting knowledge and sharing their expertise to as many business owners as possible.

Interviews and Panel Discussions:
Experienced entrepreneurs like our Executive Chairman, Dato’Sri Meer Sadik Habib, will be invited for sessions via Instagram and Facebook Live.

Free Training Courses:
Habib Academy will provide free courses for SMEs during these turbulent times. Among the courses available will be: Customer Service, Selling Skills, Leadership, Presentation Skills, Motivational and Self-Help and many more.

Cookies Initiative

Habib is lending a helping hand to local cookie vendors by purchasing in bulk from them to aid with their financials due to Covid-19 Pandemic crisis. A jar of cookies will be given to customers who purchase jewellery from HABIB and will be made available at HABIB showrooms for customers to enjoy.

Merdeka Specials Limited Edition Coins

To commemorate this special day, HABIB has created a special addition of beautifully designed gold coins weighing 0.2 grams created by HABIB’s in-house local designers.
