The Toronto Tamil Film Festival showcases Tamil Cinema created by Tamils internationally every year. The aim of this festival is to merely transform the way people see the world, through films. It is known to be a significant festival of Tamil films.

The Malaysian film has successfully made it internationally, competing with other movies around the globe directed by many well known directors, and garnering the noble award for the best crime thriller feature film is indeed remarkable and unforgettable.

Pulanaivu is a crime thriller that depicts the story of a college student caught in a mysterious murder which took place in her college. Meanwhile, a police officer on the other hand struggles to solve the murder mystery while battling her own life problems.

The movie stars many prominent actors and actresses of the Malaysian film industry such as Datin Shaila Nair as the police officer, the director herself Shalini Balasundaram playing the lead role, and Kabil Ganesan as the antagonist.

Team Varnam congratulates the entire team for the honourable award! And we wish you more to come!
