This 22-episode enthralling mystery series is helmed by local producer, Indiran Shanmugam and local prominent and talented stars like C. Kumaresan, Dhilip Kumar and Aahmu Thirunyaanam.
Kuruthi Mazhai is the very first local Tamil series to feature C. Kumaresan, a famous local actor, director, author of the Malay police series ‘Gerak Khas’ and films such as ‘Undercover Rascals’ (2010),‘Maindhan’ (2014), ‘Mayangaathey’ (2016), ‘Dukun’ (2018) and ‘Ennaval’ (2019).
The plot revolves around a police officer, Inspector Kathirvel, played by C. Kumaresan, who is now in charge of the murder case in the public eye.
Inspector Kathirvel is thrown under immense pressure and stress to find the killer as soon as possible, due to the killing that takes place the very same day he takes hold of the new mysterious case.
The situation only begans to get even more thrilling with suspense when he later comes to discover the murder of his very own wife, leading to many other questions and mysteries.
Inspector Kathirvel then starts investigating the case even more intriguingly with his colleague Sub-Inspector Ezhil, played by Dhilip Kumar and discovers that the notorious serial killer only preys during rainy days.
Who is this killer? Why is he only attempting to kill during rainy days? Did he kill Inspector Kathirvel’s wife?
