Astro Customers, brace yourself because there are some exciting programmes coming your way to kick off this new year.
Catch Therikka Vidalama premiering on 1st January 2021 at 9pm on Astro Vinmeen HD (CH 231), Astro GO and On Demand. It’s a three-hour local New Year’s concert lined with spectacular performances by acclaimed local artists including Yogi B, Rabbit Mac, Emcee Jaz, Havoc Brothers, Santesh, Siddarth and directed by prolific filmmaker Dev Rajah.
They’re also bringing us a comedy horror series, Serial Pei, directed by famous filmmaker, M.S. Prem Nat. His 20-episode thrilling and humorous series will star locally famous talents including RAAGA announcers along with other popular local talents like ‘Punnagai Poo’ Geetha, James Devan, Sasi Kumar, Kavimaran, Revathy, Naveesyaah, Akshra Nair, Kogulan, Suresh and Raj Ganesh. This series begins on 4th January 2021 at 9pm on Astro Vinmeen HD (CH 231) , Astro GO and On Demand.
Along with that, Are You all Rolled up for the big reveal? Drum rolls please!
Astro unveiled a new pop-up channel (242) dedicated to Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan from 1st to 31st January 2021 featuring 70 iconic and well-loved Kamal Haasan films; 16 Vayathinile, Moondram Pirai, Gunaa, Avvai Shanmughi, Hey Ram, Anbe Sivam, Vasool Raja MBBS, Dasavathaaram, Unnai Pol Oruvan, Viswaroopam 1 and 2, Papanasam and more. Well, no one would have predicted this, I suppose, and of course, you can’t afford to miss our charming Kamal Hassan in those movies.
Besides movies, Channel 242 will also have a range of popular songs and hilarious comedy clips from Kamal Haasan movies.
