A Tamil school in Negeri Sembilan, SJK(T) Ladang Sagga in a small town called Siliau has remained a white elephant five years after the completion of its new building, Makkal Osai reported.
Negeri Sembilan Tamil school board head Subramaniam Raghavan stated that parents, students and teachers were really keen on moving into their new school, however their expectations were only met with dissapointment.
Thinalan Rajagopalu, chief of the school board and MIC Youth leader, said the building was completed in 2016, but encountered challenges in securing power and water supply, that deferred the granting of the Certificate of Fitness.
Based on an intervention by Negeri Sembilan Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, the matter was resolved, however was only delayed after the contractor failed to submit the completed documents to the Seremban City Council on time for the purpose of handing over the building for occupation.
We hope the management gets the school in full function soon enough.
