UPDATED: Based on a post shared on the official Instagram page of Mojo Projects,  Maestro Ilaiyaraaja Live in KL Concert has been once again postponed until further notice. The postponement is due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

There are still uncertainties in the emerging scenarios with COVID-19 even with the roll-out of the vaccines expected by the end of this month. Therefore, the concert was postponed, particularly for the safety of the performers from India and Ilaiyaraaja himself.

Mojo Project further stated that;

However, given the uncertainty, we understand if a refund is preferred. We will do our best to process the refunds within 60 days of application. There is no deadline set for any refund request. We are committed to all ticket buyers, please drop your request at: https://rb.gy/t7coyx

At the initial height and severity of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Mojo Projects had stated that Maestro Ilaiyaraaja-Live in Kuala Lumpur concert will be postponed to 20th February 2021.

The concert is expected to take place on the above date at 7pm at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, according to the details provided on Mojo Projects website.

The concert was initially scheduled to take place on the 14th March 2020 and was rescheduled to 20th June 2020 prior to being pushed to February 2021.

But we’re all aware, COVID-19 cases have lately been shooting up, leaving the government with little to no choice but to enforce the Movement Control Order (MCO) once again, which has now been gravely extended until 18th February 2021.

The concert organisers had previously mentioned to have three e-concerts as a run-up to the Maestro Ilaiyaraaja Live in Concert;

Mojo Projects will be streaming three (3) e-concerts for all its fans in the coming months as a run up to the Maestro Ilaiyaraaja Live in Concert. Featuring top Tamil artists and bands. These pay-per-view concerts will be aired in a prominent over-the-top platform and we will give FREE access to all Maestro ticket holders.

This statement was published last year at the beginning of June, and till to date, there has been only one e-concert streamed by Mojo Projects which dates back to September 2020.

Now that Mojo Projects has issued a statement on a possible refund for ticket holders, it may come as a relief to have their money back, but nothing is quiet like watching our maestro live in concert.

Hopefully, once the pandemic dies down after a vaccine proves to be effective, we can expect the return of live concerts including that of the much-hyped about Maestro Ilaiyaraaja Live in KL Concert.
