Aattam 100 Vagai, one of Malaysia’s first ever tamil dance competition, was a roaring success in 2005 and spawned a slew of talented young dancers.

Now, Astro proudly presents the return of the electrifying local tamil dance competition, ‘Aattam Returns’. Astro’s signature local tamil dance competition paves its way for talented local dancers to showcase their talents and gain recognition.

Audition dates are now open, rolling from 20th May to 15th June 2021, for budding local dance teams.

Qualified teams comprising of six participants between the ages of 18 and 40 can submit their dance videos to Astro Ulagam, a digital platform. To take part in the audition, participants can click here to fill in contestant details and submit the application form.

Participants will need to upload an unedited video of the group performing while adhering to Astro Ulagam website’s terms and conditions.

The terms and conditions can be found in Aattam Returns’ online application form.

25 teams will be shortlisted from this audition. Following that, a second round of auditions will be held. During the second audition, the shortlisted teams will perform before a panel of three judges who will then narrow the teams down to the top 14.

Following that, for the next 14 weeks of the competition, these 14 shortlisted teams will compete in intense dance battles over several elimination rounds.

Winning teams will take home cash prizes: the Champion with RM60,000, First Runner-Up with RM30,000 and three consolation prizes with RM12,000 each.

We are looking forward to having the strongest dancing team in the nation compete in this competition. All you have to do is upload videos that are between 2.30 and 3.30 minutes long. You never know, you might end up being Aatam Returns’ champion.
