These are unprecedented times. It seems like the whole world has been brought to its knees, from the fast and deadly spread of COVID-19 which begun in late 2019.

But thankfully, in response to the hard-hitting COVID-19 outbreak, people are gathering community support to help those in dire need of assistance—and if you’re able, you can help too.

Sanjay Vasanthanathan, who is fondly known as Cikgu Sanjay, President of Gurushektra Education Movement (GEM) and Director of Eduputra Malaysia, has launched a project called ‘Projek Durian’ to serve people facing hunger during this tough time.

Currently, Sanjay is welcoming donations of food, money, and volunteer hours to aid a total number of 286 families who have been registered under the project.

Sanjay has remained so passionate, positive and happy while delivering aid. His efficiency in ensuring everyone is fed is not a chore, rather a form of social service.

Hunger, just like a virus, knows no boundaries when it comes to race, creed, or religion.
