Smoking causes cancer and many other life-threatening sickness!
Bearing this in mind, Gurubalan Thiagarajan has penned and helmed a short film entitled Kayathai Nesithen. The core message of the engrossing film revolves around the side effects of smoking, which not only ruins the life of the individual who is affected but also kills their dreams, aspirations and causes great grief to their loved ones left behind.
When happens when a guy who is caught in between of his fading dream to become a musician is shattered after he is diagnosed with cancer, and his days are numbered?
Produced by Real premium Studios, the story depicts a heavy smoker who is afflicted by lung cancer and the sad realisation is that he’ll never able to see his family again.

A very simple story, with a strong message, Kayathai Nesithen was executed beautifully, and gets the point across. Starring the director himself alongside Kelvin and Thilahan, the short film had eventually helped raise awareness to persuade the audience not to smoke, and to heavy smokers, to give it up altogether. This heart-wrenching film on smoking awareness is a wake up call to all of us.
