As things may have slowed down in the wake of the pandemic, a large number of Malaysian gurdwaras have remained consistent and dedicated in helping families in dire need.
Acknowledging the plight of people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, a Sikh Gurdwara in Kluang has stepped forward to distribute free food to struggling families and individuals.
Food is being distributed at the temple from 10 AM – 11 AM. Kluang Gurdwara’s Langgar Hall (Communal Kitchen) volunteers prepare the food on a daily basis. The temple’s kitchen is also nearing a renovation completion that begun in January 2020.
The committee president of Gurdwara Sahib Kluang (GSK), Mandev Singh stated that a total number of 40 Sikh families from the surrounding areas of Simpang Renggam, Paloh, Machap, Air Hitam, and Kahang are provided with food by the Gurdwara committee members.
If you’re living in the Kluang district, please share this information to anyone in need of a meal or visit the Gurdwara to be a part of this initiative.
