If you are looking for a stirring ensemble of slice-of-life stories that are unique in a way of the concept, love and close to reality, RICE will surely be your cup of tea.
Penned and helmed by the very talented director, Sangabalan, the storyline fills your heart with real warmth. The 11-minute short film will walk you through the day and bring an emphasis on struggles the main cast had to endure just for a handful of rice.
The short film features talented casts, they are; Mogan Chandra Dass, Vino Shan, Rajeshwary Ramaiah, Saran Rao, Nantha Kumar Balan, Kay Beatz, Sharmini Shree, Vidia Liana, and Prashna. There isn’t a single shot in the story that seems abrupt or out of place. The main character takes us on an emotional ride, and anyone who has been on a similar journey, especially throughout this pandemic, would understand his anguish.
One of the many thoughts I had while watching the unorthodox hunger unfold was, “Can we have more of such movie genres on YouTube, please?”
Trust me guys, you won’t regret watching this short film. Not even a bit, whilst keeping you engaged till the climax.
