Have you always been interested in writing about Tamil arts and culture?

If yes, the Tamil Language Society of Universiti Malaya (TLSUM), is all set to organise the highly anticipated project aptly titled ‘Tamizhedu’.

So, what is ‘Tamizhedu’ all about?

‘Tamizhedu’ is a project that focuses on publishing a magazine related to Tamil arts and culture. It’s an initiative aimed to spread knowledge of Tamil arts and culture to students and the public. In the modern era, Tamil, which also happens to be one of the world’s oldest language is slowly losing its heritage values.

The students of University Malaya, readers of this E-magazine and experts from local & international arenas  are welcome to join the online event. To curb the spread of COVID-19, ‘Tamizhedu’ will be launched via virtual platforms.

Check out the project details:

Date : 18 September 2021

Time: 7.30 p.m.

Venue: Tamil Language Society of Universiti Malaya (TLSUM) Facebook Page

In addition, the ultimate online project will encourage the younger generation to explore the arts and culture of the dwindling Tamil community. With this project, the society hopes to foster love for the language and the need to treasure the Tamil language, at the same time preserve one’s knowledge of Tamil arts and culture, in hopes that it will be widely recognised both locally and internationally.
