Widow M. Vikneswari was devastated to find that the nanny who was being paid RM800 per month to look after her two children, aged 6 and 11, had been abusing them since April.

It’s heart-wrenching to see both of the siblings severely injured in an incident which occurred last Thursday at Taman Selesa Jaya, Skudai where they were allegedly beaten with canes and pipes, tied with ropes, splashed with boiling water and burnt with cigarette buds.

Following the incident, the 30-year-old widower lodged a police report at the Nusa Bestari Police Station in Johor after being advised by her employer.

According to Info Roadblock, the nanny somehow found out about Vikneswari’s whereabouts and sent her children via an e-hailing car to their mother. The offenders are believed to be a married couple residing in Taman Selesa Jaya. The young mother was introduced to the nanny through a friend and had been paying them RM800 per month to look after her kids since April.

The mother of two lost her husband a few years ago and is currently working as a retail assistant at a nearby shop. Despite this, she only had the opportunity to visit her two children three times since leaving them with the nanny owing to her attempts to earn a livelihood for her children.

Both brothers are currently being treated at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA).

Meanwhile, District Police Chief Iskandar Puteri ACP Dzulkhairi Mukhtar in a media statement said he has received the police report. Three individuals aged 22 to 32 were detained to assist with investigations.
