It’s amazing to witness our beloved country make international headlines for any distinguished achievement. And, in the music industry, we’ve been privileged to have a consistent stream of excellent indigenous artistes that have made us proud, both here and abroad, throughout the years.
Without a doubt the charismatic composer of our local music industry, Thiban has certainly come a long way since his singer/songwriter days in the music industry.
It’s a huge milestone for our very own Malaysian crooner and composer as his song aptly titled “Ponnin Chingam” won the prestigious Raj Narain Ji Visual Media Award 2021. Known as a sound engineer and owner of the reputed Music Label Acoustical Recordz Malaysia, it’s a promising sign of things to come from the local Tamil music industry featuring Thiban’s work.
Its vocalist Mathangi Ajithkumar won the “Best Female Singer” category award which was held in Trivandrum, Kerala, India on 21st November 2021. Her beautiful voice is laden with emotion; it emotes brilliantly to the lyrics of the tune. The lyrics to this song was penned by Unnikrishnan Meetna, Ankita and Sri. Hrishikesh, the creative picturisation of this song has been penned beautifully.
