Seminar Seringgit; A Fundraising Programme Catered To Help The Less Fortunate And Underprivileged Students In Malaysia

RM1 is all it takes to ensure kids stay in school.

With the emergence of the deadly COVID-19 and its mutations around the world, the global pandemic has had a significant socioeconomic impact on lives and has put considerable pressure on healthcare systems globally. It has revealed the vulnerability of many families and in Malaysia alone, families from the B40 group have been immensely hit by a single virus. Bearing all this in mind, non-governmental establishment Reaching Hearts Organization incepted a humanitarian programme called Zero Hunger Aid and successfully collected information on Malaysia’s less fortunate families.  The NGO has since distributed groceries and necessary supplies to the affected families. During a parliamentary session recently, it was revealed that a total of 21,316 students did not complete their education and dropped out of school during March 2020 to July 2021. Hence, knowing the importance of education, Reaching Hearts organised programme ‘Seminar Seringgit’ to help and assist students affected by the severity of the pandemic. Thus, the RM1 funds collected from this seminar will be channeled to these needy students in order for them to purchase books, school uniforms and other necessities.

This programme is a collaboration between Pusat Tuisyen Arena Matriks and the Reaching Hearts Organization. This seminar will be conducted by well trained and experienced teachers. Pusat Tuisyen Arena Matriks is also known for its quality education that it has been delivering over the years, there have been numerous amount of seminars held under the title of Math Marathon, Free Seminar, Bengkel, Seminar Pecutan Akhir and Seminar Skor A.

The programme intends to raise awareness amongst youngsters while emphasising the importance of knowledge and education, learning to cultivate humanity and kindness is equally important. The Seminar Seringgit is a non-profit programme which ultimately aims to ensure that students would be able to receive quality and good education at a very affordable fee of RM1. The funds collected will be put to good use by buying school uniforms, groceries and necessities for underprivileged students affected by the pandemic.

Students interested in joining Seminar Seringgit may contact 012-255-1434 to get themselves registered and the fund is only RM1 which will then be channeled to the underprivileged students.
