Malaysia’s very own Mugen Rao and the title winner of the popular reality show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3 is set to make his first big-screen entry in Kollywood industry.
Mugen Rao, the singer-actor, became a popular sensation in Tamil Nadu after becoming the title winner of Bigg Boss Tamil season 3 in 2019.
Due to financial difficulty in his family, he began his career as a stage performer alongside his father at the age of 9.
At the age of 12, our Malaysian singer had already performed in more than 50 stage shows.
Fondly known as MGR, he has also worked as a songwriter, producer, and group performer, among other things.
He is the winner of the third season of Bigg Boss Tamil, hosted by Ulaghanayagan Kamal Hassan.
Our homeboy Mugen Rao is set to make his big-screen debut movie Velan today.
The famous actor Dulquer Salman revealed the first look poster for the Velan film on April 26, 2021, and the official trailer for the film was unveiled on December 22nd on Think Music India’s YouTube page.
This film is directed by talented Director Kavin Moorthy and was produced by Kalaimagan Mubarak under the Skyman International Films label
This movie stars Mugen as a college student in a rural environment.
Mugen is introduced as a cheerful village lad who heads in love with a Malayalee girl played by Meenakshi Govindharajan in the Velan trailer.
Rahul, a popular YouTuber known as ‘Prankster,’ is shown supporting him as a buddy, while Brigida Saga of Master renown appears in an important role.
Mugen’s father is played by legendary actor Prabhu, and the opponent is played by Hareesh Peradi, with Soori, Thambi Ramaiah, Joe Malloori, Billy Murali, Maria Vincent, and others rounding out the supporting characters.
The Velan trailer has all of the aspects that appeal to commercial film enthusiasts, and it appears to be an enjoyable spectacle in theatres.

Gopi Sundar composed the film’s soundtrack, while Gopi Jagadeeswaran and Sarathkumar handled photography and editing, respectively.
Given that this is Mugen’s first film in Tamil, fans will be eager to see him in action, since he became a fan favourite among both the young and old following his appearance on Bigg Boss Tamil season 3.
So far, three songs from the film have been released. Dandanakka Thavuladi, which was introduced by rockstar Anirudh Ravinchander, was the first track to be released.
The second track of Velan movie is none other than the world-famous Sathiyama Sollurandi song which was sung by Mugen Rao and the fame of Cooku With Comali K. Sivaangi. GV Prakash Kumar, the musical sensation, launched this lovely song.
The renowned music composer D.Imman released Ennai Aalum Pennilave track, a love tune that is now ruling on the youngster’s tracklist.
Velan, a fun-filled family entertainer, will be released in Malaysian theatres nationwide on December 31st 2021!
