Well, seems like 2022 is a great year for us to start off with outstanding achievements and promotions for our community!
Datuk Jana Santhiran Muniyan is our new Secretary General for the Ministry of Youth and Sports effective 4th January, 2022. The well deserving promotion was due to his utmost dedication and integrity in performing his job well.
He had previously served on the boards of the Lembaga Pelabuhan Kemaman and Lembaga Pelabuhan Kuantan. Jana has been in the Malaysian public service for the past 25 years where he started as an Assistant Director of the Ministry of Rural Development in 1995. After a year, he joined the Ministry of Education (MOE) as the Assistant Secretary in the Development Division and was later promoted to the position of Principal Assistant Secretary in 2003.
The UM graduate held the position of the Deputy Secretary General (Management) of the Ministry of Transport, Malaysia. Besides that, he sits on the boards of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor and Lembaga Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas.
That is a lot to take on, right?
