The Dream Team Behind Kandukondain Kandukondain and Minsara Kanavu is Back!

The dream team comprising of director Rajiv Menon and music director A R Rahman is back with their latest offering, Sarva Thaala Mayam. The two have worked together twice before, on hit movies Minsara Kanavu and Kandukondein Kandukondein.

The film features G. V. Prakash Kumar and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles. This will be Aparna’s second Tamil film after 8 Thottakal.

Sarvam Thaala Mayam will also feature a supporting cast consisting of Nedumudi Venu, Santha Dhananjayan and Kumaravel. Renowned dancer Vineeth will also be making a comeback with Sarvam Thaala Mayam after a hiatus from Tamil films.

Based on a true story, Sarvam Thaala Mayam tells the tale of two musicians from two states, and how their lives become intertwined.

Rajiv Menon’s name might be an unfamiliar one. The director was reported to take a sabbatical from films after Kandukondain Kandukondain. Menon’s first feature directorial venture was Minsara Kanavu. Sarvam Thaala Mayam may just be his third film, but expectations are set high for the director who is behind the story and screenplay as well.

The title song was released a week ago, and has since gone viral with fans eagerly anticipating the release of the movie. Yesterday, the filmmakers decided to release a second song, Maya Maya, sung by Chinmayi. Kandukondain Kandukondain star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was asked to do the honours, and she had only nice things to say about director Rajiv Menon.

The movie will release in English as Madras Beats. Sarvam Thaala Maayam will hit the screens on the 28th of December. Until then check out the title song, and let us know what you think!
