In Malaysia, vaccination for children (PICKids) will commence on February 3rd, 2022. Parents and guardians can now use MySejahtera to register their children aged 5 to 12.

According to Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, the aim of this initiative is to vaccinate 70% of children aged five to 11 with the Pfizer vaccine within two months of the program’s launch in early February and to fully vaccinate 80% of children within six months.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Access Assurance Special Committee (JKJAV) has issued important notes about the COVID-19 vaccination programme for children.

Children aged between 5 to 12 years old are qualified for this vaccination programme

If you have kids around that age, you may now get your little ones vaccinated too.

2 doses that will be given is free

Each dose that will be administered is 10mcg/0.2ml which is one-third of what is given to adults.

The list of children who are eligible are as stated below:

  • School and pre-school students
  • Children under institutional care and protection
  • Vulnerable children (Orang Asli, children with disabilities, homeless, refugee and non-citizens)

Following are the steps on how you can register your little one for a vaccination appointment:
